Moments of Pause ~ Quiet the Mind

Quiet the mind for clarity

Dear beautiful friend,

As I sit here preparing to allow divine spirit to use me as a channel...I close my eyes and quiet the mind. Tune out the outside world for a few moments.

I use to ask the question, how to quiet my mind and how to pause so I could gain clarity from my higher self and my intuition.

I discovered the moments of pause is where the gems of clarity I seek and utilize have the most impact in my life and the life of others.

The moments of pause are where connection with my higher self, wisdom, Divine Source and God are loudest and most clear.

The moments of pause are where I am in flow.

Clients, friends and colleagues ask me often how to quiet the mind and begin connecting to their intuition,  gain clarity of mind and enjoy their moments of pause?

Somethings I have discovered that may keep you from experiencing your own moments of pause.

~ Keeping yourself busy with the non-essentials of your life

~ Over giving to others of your time, space, energy or emotions

~ Fear of what you might find in the moments of pause

~ Fear of having to make changes in your life once you are aware of what is or isn't working anymore in your life

~ Fear of feeling the feels...Oh year, I know this one well!!

So how do you move through these and begin to create and enjoy more moments of pause?

3 Steps to Quiet Your Mind

1. Ask yourself why you might be avoiding giving or allowing yourself moments of pause.

     Get real with yourself here!

Ask the hard questions and then be willing to answer them!

2. Make a list of the essential life activities and the non essential. Start letting go of the non essentials, delegate and remove. Free up time in your life so that you can have space in your day for short breaks to be still and quiet. Friends, this is the space you are looking for. It is not outside of you somewhere on social media, TV or in some other time suck.

3. Let go of expectations. I know, I know...but what??? Just be open to whatever comes in. In the beginning it could be mind chatter, or silence. Friends, that is awesome because you did it!! No judgements here. Have love and grace for yourself and baby steps...are steps!

Bonus: Nature is your best friend here! Go sit on a park bench and put away all electronics.

Listen to the birds sing, maybe hear some children playing, listen to and feel the breeze on your face,         and hear the leaves of the trees wrestle around.

Again, have no expectations!

Practice daily, your intuition will begin to send you messages in these moments of pause. Your senses will grow and it will become easier to quiet your mind.

My encouragement for you, TODAY is start with 5 minutes.

Get Quiet, Sit, Breath, and Smile. :)

Amaze yourself with your moment of pause...

Until next time enjoy the journey,

Much love, Danielle

P.S. I would love to hear from you and your experience with the pause. What came up for you, how did you feel, even if you didn't feel like you received anything.
